The Orthotic Process
  1. Initial consultation & patient history is taken to better understand your foot problem.
  2. A biomechanical exam and gait analysis is completed.
  3. Three dimensional impression of the foot is with plaster of paris bandages or a 3D laser scanner.
  4. Selection of materials that will be used to make your custom orthotics.
  5. An orthotic prescription completed by the Chiropodist and impressions are sent to the lab.
  6. Orthotics are dispensed and fitted to your shoes. Instructions are given for breaking in your new orthotics.
  7. Follow-ups at 4 to 6 weeks to identify a need for any adjustments or alterations that may be required.
